this a pole to see who is keen for what for the 27,28th of feb

do we punch the 90 mile? give me a hands up whose keen for that

or

do i organise the naki board/buggy race?

in truth its starting to look difficult for me to punch the 90. got to go to auckland and wellington the 2 weeks prior to that for work. making for rage factor 8.9 if i then turn around and punch the nintey the next week.

I am up for the 90 mile but can see it might be a problem for you. Give me a call when you get down to Wellington. When are you here?

iv just found out im actualy free for both, but i think the naki is more accsible for everyone and that 90mile should wait for a holiday of some sort.

i am leaning to home town mish. its pretty hard on the family if i am away 2 weeks in a row and then bust a multi-day man trip.

the other nagging thought is that this is probably the only chance for a 90 attempt before the weather turns poo and se and there goes another year.....

righto gents.

i've decided its unfair to try and poach 50psi's 90 attempt date.

He set the date fair and square.

Sorry Conrad.

90 it is. i'll try to make it though i can't commit at this stage.

50psi set a 90 date 27 feb and i tried to poach the date for the naki race. don;t know why.... a moment of madness i geuss.

anyway i'm bowing to the original 90mile suggestion.

at this stage no the nake race is not on. until maybe later in the year. no matter how i try and work it i can't be available on both days of a weekend march/april.

I MAY however be able to break away for the ninety,.... i'm going to try or it will be another year down.

hey dave im all ok if you want to do a naki race on the 27-28th since a lot of other ppl seemed keen.
and either date will work for ninety mile.

we may need to go back to a poll
to see if there enough interest to race the naki?

If you keep going back to the poll nothing will ever happen. If you are riding the beach Its all about the tide. what ever date you decide on must have low tide at a time of the day when people can ride. 1pm allows riding on the hard from 10 am - 4 or 5pm,2pm is even better 3pm is OK but you end up waiting until lunch time on the second day for the tide to go out.

Find some days with a tide in the afternoon, find a camping ground and set a date. Thats what we have done for the last 15 years and people have turned up. There is always going to be some one who can't make it. That is sad but if you don't confirm then nobody goes.

Charlie. I'll be working towards a naki race. but i think winter is out. its just too unpredictable and fraut with south easterlies. which are all but useless. the better bet is to try and aim for a spring date.

As for the 90. talked to the missis today and didn't get a frying pan thrown at me so i take by that that its all on. i can wrangle 2 days off work to make it a 4 day epic weekend.

Also since i, now kite surf and starting to surf again i'll be able to bust some action if the wind is wrong direction or not at all.

So..... i'll be less prone to pulling out. i'd like to see a forecast of between 10 and 35 knits sw.
