Hi all,

I am fairly new to Wanaka having just moved down here at the end of last year. I been Paragliding for a couple of years, but are now wanting to take up kite surfing as well to fill in those weekends when it is too windy to fly..

Is it possible to get lessons anywhere in Wanaka?

best bet would be to hook up with Tim at kitesports.co.nz in ChCh and get a week in of intense training. With the wind skills that you have from Paragliding and if you have some board skills from SnowBoarding or Wakeboarding, you should get the guts of what involved to take back to the lake.

My guess is that you could be the Solo Wanakitesurfer!
