TOPIC: Shoal Bay Slider Jam 2010

Shoal Bay Slider Jam 2010 8 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
What: Shoal Bay Slider Jam

When: Saturday 6th Feb 2010 (Sun 7th- Bad weather day)

Where: Shoal Bay, Lansdowne Rd, Bayswater, Auckland

This has been a while in the making but finally have approval from all the relevant authorities...

Organised by Big Air NZ the Shoal Bay slider Jam should be an epic event. Already 2 kickers and 4 sliders planned for the day with more to come and plans are in the pipeline for a brand new 11m long up-down-flat slider.
We need a bit of help with this one, sliders arent cheap to build so if anyone has any contacts or shops etc. if you feel you can help out (plenty of room for signage) then we would love to hear from you.

We should have a wake winch there on the day in-case of no wind

If you have or want to make a slider for the day, let us know and we will see if we can get it included in the plan.

At this stage the event will be a free-ride format but if there is enough demand for it we will consider having some judging for it.

If you want to ride at the event you must contact nick@bigairnz.com to sort out all the legal side of it.

Will keep you updated on the progress and hope to see you there!

It's game on for this Saturday at Shoal Bay. The forecast doesnt look promising for kiting but we will have the winches running and just working on getting a couple of jetskis to help out too. (If you know anyone who might be happy to supply one let me know)

The Ballistics crew is bringing down the inflatable slider to throw in the mix so quite a few features confirmed now, should be a good day.

Parking is going to be a bit tight, to avoid any stress turn up early to get a spot and dont block neighbours driveways etc. Last thing we need is dramas from that end!

Hope to see lots of you there, if you want to ride bring down your wallet and chip in $5-$10 to help cover the cost of the gas.
