Am off to Dunedin for Saturday to Monday and reports are all saying snow to low levels around there .....

Anywhere close by to snow kite/board ?
Any locals likely to be out?
Will a 10m LEI kite do the trick?

its not likely, I'm not sure if its gonna be as bad as they predict. But the problem will be the 30-40knots SW winds.

Also anywhere flat enough is too low and anywhere high enough is usually too hard to get to within an hours drive and too steep.... and too windy...

But txt me on 021 137 8509 and I'll text you in the weekend if its on.

Nearest good place to kite on snow is the old man range but it will be too crazy up there in 40 SW'ers

I wouldn't bother dragging your gear down, its just not likely to be on...

Should have packed my wetsuit and board along with the kite - Went out to the peninsula today and Allens Beach looked awesome with 20 odd knots blowing cross-on...

did u notice it was really cold?

we went to the beach in town but it was too damn cold and we'd missed the best of the wind

allans beach is a shocker of a beach, isolated and full of rips and teeth

so much for that snow forecast....
