Okay fellow landboarders, time to represent....

Morgan at Waterfly (H20Fly) has arrange a weekend of kiteboarding out at Salt Water Creek, near Waikuku... maybe 30kms north of Christchurch.

I'm looking for a bunch of landboarders to attend and show the 'surfies' that we you don't need to get wet to have fun... I am looking at going up Friday evening to the campsite, as the tides will be low early on Sat & Sun morning. I'm also planning on maybe some night flying on the evening low tide too...

So even if you are complete noob landboarder or a mountainboarder with an interest, and you want meet up with the local CHCH riders, now's your chance..

Hey, looks like there is some interest in landboarding, as I have 4 potential landboarders looking to attend this event, (possibly with partners), not bad considering, but there is room for a few more...

Camping at Waikuku is $8 per person per night, and the campsite backs right on to the dunes and the beach. Between us we should be able to arrange a lift to the site and I even have a spare tent if anyone needs one. I might even sort out some food & beer if I can scare up a BBQ and a cooler..

So even if you only have a slight interest kite-related sports, it should still be a great time to hang with some like-minded individuals...

Count me in.i have a small cooler that we could use and also have a bbq but it is kinda small but will definately help.this sounds like its gonna be an awesome weekend just hoping the kiting will also be good considering how unpredictable the weather is here.

Okay, looks like we have 5 landboarders so far lined up for the Jib Jam weekender... sweet...
Hopefully we can learn a few moves from each other, and get some advice on set-ups and flying. We should also have a good selection of kites and boards between us, so plenty of opportunity to try out other peoples gear.

I'll post more info about arrangements nearer the time...

Well i have convinced the wonderfull lady of my life (from whom all weekend access passes must be approved) to allow me to attend this weekend in waikuku ...... and would like to confirm my attendance.........yeeeeeee haaaaa.......(thats what us country folk say when we are totally stoked Not sure what day as yet hopefully friday evening...(im working on a two day pass as we speak) if not b there first thing saturday,I have your ph # spig so i will b in touch fri after work or Sat morning

You can book your tent/cabin spot directly with Waikuku Beach Holiday park on (03) 312 7600, remembering to tell them you are with the Kitesurfing group, organised by Morgan.

My partner Fiona and I will arrive there on Friday evening, and will be giving Southie a lift to the site. Kiter and his wife maybe there on Friday or Saturday, and Jason has said he would show probably on Saturday too... Who know who else will show for us Landboarders...

Weather looks like it may be warm and clear, but the wind may not be on-shore all weekend... If this is the case then we can take a look at the local domain for a bit of inland flying. Otherwise, static kites and trainers may be the order of the day, plus frisbee or swingball if someone has one... Bring what ya got...

Spig looks like my kite wont be ready.ill bring my 10m inflatable that should be able to do the trick at around 10knots and if it gets any stronger ill go out on the water.

No worries mate, I'll have my 3m, 5m, & 7m with me and 2 boards. Plus I might take the 21m... whadaya think..?

I'll also have a brand new 4.0m& 5.0m Radsail I can demo as well...

Choice weekend, really good to meet up with you and I hope we didn't put you off for future trips..? I will start to plan the next one...

OOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW bruising commin out and rather painfull havent slept very well but no pain no gain ,had a blast and havnt been put off ..... lookin forward to the next trip ..
