What sort of amenities are at PW charlie. Is it a largish town with supermarket etc. Can i juts purchase supplies up there or do i need to consider being a swathe of food with me in a chilli bin.

PS It looks like a sweet flat water kitesurfing spot too. Risking of inciting rage of the event organiser i may need to skim across the liquid aswell. . . . . if the moment presents its self.

pss if you believe forecasts this far out saturday is looking primo.

Re: Blue Balls Buggy Bash. This weekend. 1 year ago #27534

I believe it has a dairy and a chip shop. Maybe a cafe.

No Pub even.

Bring ecerything. I don't think the camp is keen on the binge drinking thing though.

Whoot.

I'll be getting up early sat morning and aiming to hit the beach at 10.

breathe deeply Plummet!- alas, due the shortcomings of recently used mechanic, i've no car this weekend - well i have a hire car but it's a crappy little thing only good for running to the local shops, so I wish you all well and hope that the wind blows hard for you. I will be Johnny no mates this weekend but will be sure to have a session on the land board to get into the spirit of things.
Hmm, to kitesurf or to landboard? That is the question for a kite addicted junkie.

sweet weekend. Some insane racing. Full credit to the speed gun opperator (Charlies boy? Sorry i've forgotten his name) for having balls of steel by holding true while 100kg+ lumps ofd flesh and steel hurtled towards him.

Jimmy turned up like a rock star with shiny buggies and aerodynamic helemt smoked most of the feild 2nd in the race and the 3rd in the speed trap and disappeared just as fast as he arrived.
we played try and get the peugot stuck. there was some monster squids flying in the sky.

Gannet owned the weekend with first equall in the trap and dominating the race.

Overpowered Doom was floating around the sky.

That Hansen fellow snapped a line and was added into the beaten by plummet club!

Night flying as usual was amusing.

Sunday we had landboardable dunes. i rigged the 15 manta and blasted up and down the dunes for 10mins then the wind buggered off.... none the less it was sweet even for a short session.

Good times boy. I look forward to the moose.

It was a bit rushed , at least rushing in the race got a good result i took up the method so i would have a reliable race and easy corners but i got a lot more and then wished i had used the same combo in the speed gate round. Hats off to Conrad for winning the gate !! im shocked Peter got his new buggy back afterward.

Thats 8m manta that conrad was on was perfectly powered! I did a run on it down the beach (before the speed trap) and pulled 60.5kph. fasted the 10m could do was 53 after that it was sideways action and the 9m c4 wasn't powered enough....

Still that jimmy scalp elludes me!... one day therel be a line break or tangle at the marker and I'll have a complete set buggy scalps! hehe haha hhoho hehehe....

hey guys, check here www.mikepeffers.com under sports for the picks, there should be some real cool ones...

if you paticularly like a picture best thing to do will be deal directly with him on his email and sort out what you want to do..

special thanks to charlie, awsome as usual...i diddnt have a good day racing and couldnt get it togeather for the speed run...hurt my head pretty bad in an accident involving a fridge, a plank and a bottle of wine and just couldnt get it togeather after that!!

i did however have a awsome time with everyone (heaps of people) the most i have ever seen at a blueballs and hanging out some new peeps is always cool, one of the highlites was pulling conrads nissan grandroad off an invisible tree ,only go get down the beach to find perrins truck down a hole it had dug behind the car it was towing that was also in a very similar hole very close to the sea, infact some of the holes were actualy filling up with sea!! its amazing howmany people own minature spades and tractors in port waikato!

al looks over and sees conrads truck jammed squarley into a big log, front tyre almost off the ground an everything.
gets out of van and runs over to conrad..
