cheers for posing this one up. quick question about your new years day video. i notice that you get really low before some of the jumps, is that to load up the strings ? i found loading the strings makes you boost higher from just doing running jumps etc and i have got the same result land boarding when i first started kiting but when you stand up arent you unloading before the jump, what have i missed . let me in on that trick of the trade plumtree

you load up the lines by carving upwind. hunkering down and jumping up assists your assent into the sky. it means you are unweighted for a period of time and the kite and pull you higher.

probably the same effect as hitting a small kicker. it makes a world of difference to the the height of the jump and also means you don't need to wang the kite behind you so much and you get a longer distance jump aswell.
