I saw this on trademe, 10 out 10 for effort. To the experts out there and buggy racers, What do you think? could it breeze past you as claimed by the intrepid spalsh1?

"Kite buggy fits kids to large adults. Axle comes off for transport (car top on roof rack). Works realy well. Used succesfuly on a camping expedition to the top end of Muriwai beach and back. Easy maintenance. Body is ply foam ply sandwhich and wood. Axle is wood foam wood sandwich. Light but strong. Very comfortable with plenty of adjustment possible. Goes well with the 2m Peter Lynn Hornet and goes like a rocket with the 7.7m Peter Lynn Twister" (see my other listings).

Hmm, to kitesurf or to landboard? That is the question for a kite addicted junkie.

Question: you have got to be taking piss right? freedy78 (24 ) 10:15 pm, Mon 29 Nov
Answer: With this buggy I have pissed all over a number of other kite buggies and land yachts, thats for sure! It may not look like a steel buggy but it goes very well and yes the front wheel was from my daughters first push bike! She helped with the welding! 11:09 pm, Mon 29 Nov

you know what deano, this guy has actualy put most if not all of to shame.....

i saw this guy (on said homemade buggy) travling south down muriwai one sunday..
i later found out that he had infact packed up that buggy with suplies and overnite gear, nuked muirs all the way to the moose, stayed over nite and nuked back.

no back up, no mates, no car....just buggy.

this buggy and its owner are legends, i to this day have never done a mission like that...this guy was the guy who inspired me to make my own tent (wich i did) but have still failed to do the mission.....

and lets face it, if he can do it........

its not always all about the kit, he has achived more by building that buggy and doing a solo moose than i have ever done with my buggy...ever.

Its still a piece of shit Al.

I have Matt lords old "slider" buggy in the shed. He rode that thing so fast and nuked the moose and rode it all over some nasty dunes and beat Perrin in races with it, but that buggy is also a piece of shit. Very ridable, but still crap.

Good on him for doing it his way. Well done. Give me a real one any day.

I really like the hybrid Zooter, not sure if anyone is famliar with this, you can use either a sail or kite. Having said that, i'm working on top secret (shhhh) design for a land board with hidden extras.

www.trademe.co.nz/Sports/Kites-kitesurfi...on-334157218.htm#qna

Great fun for the beach this summer. Has had a summer of use (taken out approx. a dozen or so times over the last two years). Mostly at Orewa beach. Some wear and tear as you'd expect, but nothing that impacts on its performance.

Does about 40kms on the beach, and can be used with either the 4.5 sail (that comes with it) or your own kite.

This listing comes with the buggy as pictured, safety helmet, knee pads, carry bags, two piece mast and the sail - basically all that you see pictured.

It also has wheel extensions and comes with larger buggy sized wheels as opposed to smaller blo kart wheels.
