well i only had 1 hour for a sneaky lunch session.
couldn't extend it at all as i had urgent shit to attend too.

5mins drive to the beach
12 second check the wind with facethometer.
oh yeah a sweeeeet 13-16 knot onshore. hard and dry beach!! not very common round here.

4 mins 48 to get dressed rig up.

10m manta was the weapon of choice.

10 mins ago i was sitting at work now i'm belting down the beach.!
Sweet.
Theres a nice stream to jump and i have the beach to myself. this beach is only small. 300m long and 50m wide if your lucky.
But who cares. i'm cruising along at speeds up to 43kph at throwing down some nice floaty airs. not super high but long. Its how i like it about 4-5 foot high and 15+ meters in distance.
I re-direct land and continue on the downturn to belt back the other way.

Nice!

I set the gps so i can see how fast i'm going when i launch into a jump. I'm suprised to see i'm hitting 41kph when i send the kite for a jump...

Now i have a new challenge. probably a painfull challenge. How fast can i jump? i'm now keen to see if i have the balls to hit into a jump at 50+kph?

i'll definatly get some crazy distance if i do.

Time is up. The session has ended. its been short but oh so sweet.

hehehe. if you hit a stone and bounce into the air that doesn't count! or if you accidentally get lofted!

though being lofted on a 2.5m kite at 70kph would no doubt be ring clenching stuff! i'd suggest any size kite at the zenith at 70kph is pretty silly.

taking off at 40kph with the manta in 15 knots is so chilled. you glide up glide along glide down..... if you want you can land at a dead stop or come in fast depending on your send and apposing re-direct.

i like the long low jump. go in fast slap the kite to or just passed the zenith and the give it a tinsy re-direct. then you just glide like on a zip wire/flying fox. magic.

Al about time to explored the third dimension. Con Ange into getting an sle for kite surfing and use that bad boy for launcing into the air.

i have lofted the buggy truely, mozwaa plummet...iv had some good airs and the best was one day at the moose where the wind was just right for me to pre-air from the flat into a hole.it was awsome, just floated of the edge of this lip and waited to land..
and this one time.....with the blade 6.6

but yes,i agree. i need to get into it more, i havnt got anything but the blade and a 5m panch ace...and my buggy isnt right for it..i would love a little buggy, more like landing gear than a buggy really ,to just hop around and air over stuff in the moose.
like you and your rivers, i need to have an aim...to jump over something or some kind of challange with a landing .flatlandings dont do it for me anymore.
