Meet up with Al yesterday in NP and we bolted to the beach for a session.

Al didn't have his buggy so he jumped on my landboard and went for a charge.

I have to say he was riding like a pro..... belting that little race kite around the sky.
wind was 18 knots ish so i put up the 10 manta and jump around abit. oooh first real air time since the arm breakage. oohhh the manta is a gliding machine.

i even had a squirt on Al's N-gen. man that thing is like trying pilot a box of squirells. i'm not used to speedy little kite. wholy fast kite batman.

Did he get his new Flo'range N'gen? Good stuff!

Sadly another 'crosser here too. My first ATB in 5 years is almost ready to take for a bash! But fist 3 hours of welding and finish filling up the skip with what used to be the back deck and all the rubbish under the house. Just so I can swing a hammer for most of tomorrow. Hope you guys leave some wind for me...

hey, cant knock crossdressing mate...altho i must admit as soon as i picked up a bit of speed (prob less than 15 k an hour) i got the knee wobbles...skary man, big respect to anybody whos been over 20....how you guys go past 50 is just beyond me
what an sport man, i thought you had to be coordinated to even get a buggy to go, this board stuff is lose!!! i can understand the addiction, i "almost" drifted, i could feel it was about to break traction..very very cool, and i have to say i was spoiled for any other landboard ,riding plummets velvetglider must be akin to walking on the moon..a super nice bit of kit you made their mate.thanks for that.
yep, got the new N-gen, still damn good but its definently not the same, the canopy is slightly more curved and the bridal isnt quite as tight as perrins modded one, so it needs a bit of work before its up to racing spec..please god let perrin fix my old one.i loved that kite...the new one isnt magic like the old one

guster. pics please of your board. i presume its a revo knock off like mine?

Al you did better than me on my first go. i saw you busting heal side and toeside and toeside to healside transition all on the little ngen thats like a fart in a bottle to fly. real hard to lean back and pilot a landboard with such a small speedy kite.

Next time we'll hook you up to the access. thats way easier to landboard with.

ps i feel the same way when i jump in a buggy. anything over 20 and i feel like i'm going warp factor 6. my feet try t0 bounce off the peggs and i think how the hell can i stop this beast.

i snuck out today for an early morning session. rain was threatening but never came about. so i had 14-15 knots and a wet but deserted beach. i even managed to board right up passed the high tide line and up to the top of a little dune. well sand hump thing it was about 10 foot high. then did abit of a glide back down. yeha.

ive done both and i like the buggy better, i must say i should try your board properly one day Dave, ill ride my skateboard about for a while in the carpark on ultra short lines . Im pretty sure my kitedeck is getting the hammering it deserves now and isnt in my garage staring at a xx racing buggy any longer so thats one good thing.

pitty the new ngen is not as good, but Perrin of KITEWORKS has a good touch when it comes to tuning a kite so its not unexpected the virgin ngen is not as good as the kiteworks ngen

Nah, just a channel truck beastie to BAF with till I get the big projects out of the way. I think I got those channel trucks off you some years ago too. The other material is sitting and waiting to have a set of revo-style ones made.

I like all aspects of kiting and while bailing at speed on a ATB gives me shivers it's still fun cruising a hard packed beach on a light day. But it can be limiting when there is all that surf and dunes to play in too. In fact while cleaning under the house I spotted some foam than needs to be converted to a set of kite boat hulls.

Always good to have a backup of your favourite sized kite and it shouldn't take much to make the flo'range fly as well.

one day a buggy might adorn my garage too. i am not adverse to alternate kite sports. infact i'm super keen to get on the water at the mo. but i've kinda snookered myself. i can no longer accept crappy substandard equipment and i don't have enough $$ for good equipement....

The Kite being the big ticket item i need that i can't afford....

on a side note was riding up my small dune hill on sunday. and thought maybe another set of grannies on there would remove the squirellyness on the super soft sand and let me rude the dunes properly. so the duneboard still lurks in the back ground as a project to be complete. as does the fold up kitesurf deck for the estury crossings.
