Wow... great catch too Gannet! Gonna have to swap notes with you some day. I used to make kites for guys who kite-fished and still have one or two I kept for myself and never got to try! Still on the project list to make one of the newer inflatable sleds.

Best part of my usual fishing trips is to get pulled behind the boat with my kiteboard. Take note, fishing is only good if there is no wind as there are way better things to do when the wind is blowing....

where do you ride plummet? im coming down to newplymouth soon, should i bring my bike??

yep. infact bring everything you can fit and we will find some kiting/biking activity given the conditions.

theres tones of tracks running through np. i can either pedal you to death or scare you to death with crazy dh lines.... or we can kite some beaches or you could throw your hand to abit of hill kiting.

sweet, i only have 2 bikes, a true xc stalion that wont take a bating, i stupidly sold my only trail bike....or my downhill rig, so id be keen on a skary one...check this out...

that bike is a mythical creature, sent from mountainbike hell to be tamed by bikeriders...it,s kind won the world cup many years ago ridden by a fella called steve pete who could make it talk.
its old now, designed back in 96 and its a bitch to maintain, but you gotta love it.

amusingly your lobo started off being a downhill bike but now fits squarely in the heavy trail bike category... i have some trails that the lobo will love!
Note. they will be slippery trails this time of year.

i havnt been mtbing for months, very exited to check out some new trails, up here im stagnated with woodhill, its good fun but its got no flow, like the lake district back home in england, i could climb a hill for 3 hours, have an awsome awsome view of a lake and then trail ride mostly downhill for an hour an a half....it was heaven...i miss that heaps.

you need to head to rotorua for that sort of action. Ride the redwoods. theres enough flowing singletrack for 2 days solid riding. you can also trailer to the top of the biggest hill for $5 and then ride down.

yep those are my home made longboards. if your interested we can cruise the foreshore on those.

anyway. nw wind is blowing which means i get an almost direct onshore (happenes 5-6 times a year) so i'm off to fang the beach.... ooh yeah.
