I've seen the two line one, the one that comes with the impulse used with the windsurf strops the ones they use round the oval bar around the sail can't remember what they are called.

yep windsurf strop thing is what you want. idealy one with a quick release. or yyou could adapt a chicken loop and rope.

see attached pick home made bar with windsurf strop.
