Got txt today from Craig Hansen(Peter Lynn Kites) he is trying to organise a run from Amberley to Chch on Sun 16th Nov in Buggies and on Landboards. I hear you ask what about the rivers? well craig says the first two are shallow enough to walk through and the wiamak we will have to either float across if you have a big foot or floats on the buggy. if anyone has a boat we can ferry guys across. And third and probably best option will be to exit the beach at pines beach meeting drivers to take us to spencer park and buggy/ride back up to the wiamak then u-turn and head for chch.

The Plan is to meet at the northern end of Golf Links Rd at Amberley Beach at 11.00am (Lowtide is 13.30) this should gives us about 5-6hrs to get to chch plenty of time.

For those who are keen we need help in the form of drivers to drop people off and pick people up at pines to drop off at spencer park and carry gear. Also Get the word out as this doesn't happen to often, the more the merrier, If someone has a boat the do the wiamak crossing for that would be excellent, though not to sure if it would be possible tide and current and all that. So if anyone knows if this is possible let know.

These plans all depend on the weather and wind and if not possible on sunday we may have to bring it forward a day. If on the Saturday we will meet at 10am. Keep an eye on this thread for comfirmation.

Late i know only just heard from Craig. The Pegasus Raid will be Saturday the 15th instead of Sunday due to the forecast looking better for Sat instead of Sunday. We are meeting at the North New Brighton Surf Club on marine Parade from 10-1030 in the morning to sort out logistics and see how many of us there are.

In the end the Pegasus Raid didn't happen today due to there been no more that 8knots and it struggled to get that high as well. We may try again tomorrow as originally planned.

In saying that we had a good arvo cruising at a jogging pace in the mist it was cool as from a distance you could only see the kites going in and out of the mist as they went up and down to generate the power. Then we just sat on the beach and chilled out and chatted and enjoyed the warm sunny weather. Hard to think 10days ago it was trying to snow. Hopefully summer is here and so are the Noreaster's.

Got a text this morning from craig saying that the forcast for today isnt good so hes calling off the massive ride.
