Anyone know of another place to go other than new Brighton Beach , on the days that tides are up there? have noticed that tides work on a two week rotation (that suits me for time of day etc..... so if the tide is up there , where else is a good place to go
thanks

Hi welcome to the forum. Christchurch is basically a one beach location. When the tide is in at the beach you can go to the paddock behind the estuary where everyone launches and lands but this can be really bumpy to ride on. You can find the odd park to ride at but don't try hagley park. Apparently they do not like anyone with any wheels on the grass but it is crap anyway as there is tonns of trees around the outside.

The other place i normally use is tullet park. good in most winds just got to look for soccer player and stay off the main pitch outside the club rooms!

Other than that get out on the beach when we are out there and introduce yourself that way i will get your cell number to let you know where we are off to riding.

there are a loads of parks and spots round chch that would make awesome buggy/board sites, you could probably buggy everyday of the year here if you were that keen - there needs to be some more exploring!

you're just spoiled having 20km of hardpacked sand on your doorstep!

mate it used to be a 200km round trip for a beach buggy sesh for me! (now it's 200m, and the beach is 10x bigger )

they'll be some good spots on your side of town though, it will be great fun finding them, don't forget to let us know when you do!
