New to this forum, though I'd say hello from UK as I am and shortly going on a short trip taking in NZ and hopefully a bit of kiting

Need to buy a board in either Oz or NZ, looking for something cheap if anyone has some suggestions?

what part of Nz are you looking at coming to?

there are plenty of friendly riders in chch whom im sure would lend you something if your unable to buy a board.

Traveling to all the most tourist areas, planing to try Brighton beach, Nelson & Muriwai for Kiting. Open to any suggestions really but only have a vehicle for three weeks.

Hoping that a lot of beaches will be suitable. What are the sand conditions like? Is it more buggier land?

brighton beach is perfect for boarding/buggying, the sand is hard and rideable about 3hours either side of low tide.

from what i know nelson has a great flying field, which is probibly better for buggys.

no ideas here about muriwai for boards but im sure it would be good?

add foxton/himatangi beach to yout list of beaches.

nelson tahanui (spelling?) and rabit island are hard as hell white sand beaches.

muriwai is ironsand (dark not as hard) but still workable on a landboard

also add raglan to your trip tho i haven't been there kiting i hear its good.
orewa beach in auckland is good.
