harness to buggy or harness to yourself then harness to buggy?

Which is easier to fly with?

I harness to myself then seat belt into buggy but at the moose meet saw
others harnessing strat to the buggy
any views on subject.

i think that if you are wanting to go fast then hard wiring the kite to the buggy is the best option as all power is being transferred straight from the kite to the buggy. i use the kite to me me to buggy option as id rather freestyle and this option allows me to feel what the kites doing and accomodate that way, that and i landboard and static fly a little bit so only having the kite be able to attach to the buggy is silly means you can harness to ride something else.

Thats my view anyway, i think its propably a personal preference thing, just try both and see what you think.

Try both..
If you get turtled you do not have time to quick release anyway , so all you can do is slap the handles in one hand and grab a big hand full of brake lines :?
Hard wired;(straight to buggy though a holts block) takes the weight off you legs and body , so you can feel what the buggy is doing.steering at speed , jumping , tricks (some tricks) are all easier. + you can use a big kite in stronger winds.and as for kite feeling, you will learn what the kite is up to, though you hands, and at that point you will not have to look at it so much.
Harness and seat belt; a little slower as you can not run the big kites, but you can do more tricks ; two wheels..
If you run a wheel block seat harness ,you can unhook the handle strop when things get to much.and let the kite go! , better then ...
So in all I would say try the harness and seat belt first (about a year)and learn to kill the kite with brake lines , a hand full, fast.no jumping on a wheel harness
then try wired in.
And last of all wear you safety gear all of it. 8)
did I say safety gear! I think someone just poked me in the ribs

the seat belt and harness way makes the person a stressed member and is not as desirable to me , who likes my bones and spine. In the UK i believe they have rules stopping you from harnessing direct to the buggy , I think that is driven by insurance companies , not the buggiers so we may have more freedom here to try a better method with out losing our ACC

see if you can try each one and decide for yourself, its your neck on the line. there seem to be equal numbers in each camp in NZ
