hot off the press, Chasta and the Ozone crew will be at Mt Ruapehu on the 3rd and 4th of August for demo days and a general freeride. come and kite with some of the best around, if you have never kited then even more reason to come along and learn from a legend.

Demo weekend postponed until September due too bad weather. At least the snow is finally falling.

Fri Aug 3 Issued at 1:04 pm 2 Aug 2007 NZST
Cloud and early rain, turning to a few showers. The showers becoming less frequent, and fine spells increasing. Snow level to about 1600 metres.
Wind at 1500 metres: Westerly 40 km/h, easing to 30 km/h during the evening.
Wind at 3000 metres: Westerly 50 km/h.
Freezing Level: Lowering to 1500 metres.

Sat Aug 4 Issued at 1:27 pm 2 Aug 2007 NZST
Fine at first. However, cloud increasing and rain developing from late morning, with a few heavy falls bringing poor visibility. Snow down to 1700 metres. Northwest winds, rising to gale about the tops.
Freezing level rising to 2000 metres.

The crew will still be around the Ruapehu area until Tuesday so if you are here by all means keep a eye out for us.
