Its a great beach.
It was my local when i was a kid living in Feilding and Palmy Nth.
A better place to get on is Hima-Hawaii just a few kms down the road.
Theres more space and some great logs to slide.
When i flew there last time i was back for moose meet 3 years ago there was noone else on the beach and i got loads of funny looks from curious locals.
NZ seems to have sod all landkiters outside Auckland and Christchurch.?
Foxton/Himitangi would be an awesome local as it in Windfarm country and its always blowin.

might get a roady to foxton in later, sounds cool, only 2.25 hr drive from here 8) :?
sounds like wanganui has a good beach too (only 1.25hr away)

Id love to come visit for a while, but i am super busy with trips this year, Jus come back from 5 days in Tenerife, off to Wales for a week in 2 weeks time, then The outer Hebridies for a week in August, 10 days in Sth Africa in Sept, as well as a week in the states in Sept/oct..Busy, busy. I may have the time, but the cash for the ticket is a different story.
I have a couple of good friends planning on coming to NZ to landboard in oct/Nov, Alex Brown and Gabe Shortman, and they have also asked me to come along, which id love to , but as yet, noone wants to pay my airfare......doh.

Ill see what i can do but cant promise anything, as you can now see.

Yeah it was my local beach when I was in Palmy. You could pretty much cruise all the way up to Himatangi if you wanted to.
I've got a bach @ Te Horo and there are numerous beaches along the coast there that lend them selves to buggying and landboarding.
Kitesurfing is,nt to bad once your past the surf, surfs always messy.
I also find it puzzling that there are not many kiters in NZ, not sure of the reasons.
Still waiting for the trades to kick in here in Fiji and I also bought my landboarding gear back this time. Do I get some strange looks with that!!
