Very classy that!

Good to see you making Cutlasses again. Great allrounder and my favourite every day board.

I was looking at this in the flesh at Butche's kite night (well it may have been another the same....) and i've gota say thats one f#$%en sweet sweeet board.

I love the paua inlay and the clear resin rails and lush,.,,,

its more than just a board its a freaken work or art.

one day when i grow up i'll like to buy a board like that.

Thanks Dave, that is not the first time someone has called that board a piece of art!

That board Butch has borrowed for tomorrows down wind race and is the same one Mike Holland borrowed for the win in last months Queenstown race.

It isn't the same board as the pic above - the one you have seen has nose and tail blocks, not stringers.

We are currently working on a Scimitar 160x47 (wave/skim board) with a purple heart stringer and paua logos - kind of makes other boards look like a second class ride...

Cheers

exuse my ignorance but whats the mutant for?
is it for when you want to have the performance of a directional board but can't be arsed riding toeside (i hate toeside with the wrath of 1000 circus monkeys) so you just belt back in the other direction like a twin tip backwards healside?

obviously it works good as a race board. for the same reason?

or have i missed something?

Read as assymetric twintip: The Cutlass rides just like a twintip and rides a little more stable one way having bigger tail fins and more nose rocker.

A great board for cross-on's or where you are facing a little more chop one way. Though even then I've ridden mine the 'wrong way round' so I could ride it like a directional, carving down the line coming in.

The bigger tailfins only hamper a slide gybes when riding it backwards and is better turned toeside and carved to heelside when riding that way. Otherwise I tend to ride mine all the time and done my fastest speed on one.

hmmm Dk, If you grew a beard and your hair longer, we could start referring to you as J.C. He also was a carpenter, and it seems you work more in wood now than anything, Just food for a demented mind.

Wanna see a new J.C pro model schimitar with wood blocks nose and tail with a big paua shell cross, also could bring in walking on water as another pun if you want.

Dear Mr. Dan, alternatively there is always the horrible twist on the Woodstock RTD advert:
Is it wrong if your kiteboard builder gives you a woody?
