Anyone know if there are any cable parks near Auckland or at all in NZ, anyone think there would be much interest in one?

There isn't one, I'd love to have the option on no wind days.

Might have a problem turning a profit over the winter tho...

A huge cable park with 2 or 3 standing waves, a wavepool, a decent concrete skatepark , and an awesome pub/club... please

Su an I went to a shopping mall in Durban, SA last month. One end of the place had a huge sports complex including:

Double peak standing wave pool aka flow rider
Climbing wall
Skatepark with street, mini ramps and a couple of vert ramps
4x4 track - where you test drove new Nissans!
Basket ball court
etc
etc

We had a session on the standing wave, NZ$15 for an hour session with us and 4 groms sharing the wave time. I think the skate park was like $8 for the whole day, and the place was HUGE. All the shops at that end of the mall were sports related. One of the skate shops ran a comp series - one saturday a month - for the whole year.

Seemed to be a great idea having it linked to a shopping mall.

That reminds me - in Dubai they have built a HUGE indoor ski slope that is again attached to a shopping mall. Maybe there is something in that; not that I like shopping malls...
