I was at Kohi today, there was a few guys out, and young blond kid on a 12m Switchblade, he was the only one who was able to keep up wind

Damn Manukau was pumpin but out east the wind never really arrived. Me, Tom and Dave went to flat island and greeted with wind that was 10 knots at the most from the north. I attempted to test fly the 17m yarga but the bladder ends kept popping out so i need to sort that out. Never got to fly the kite today.

However got to fly the 21m BFK the other day at Bramley so happy about that.

Brock I have a friend called Grant and his son tells me he goes to the same school as you. He mentions a guy called Brock who kites. his name is Stefan.

Grant also kites. He uses slingshot kites and you'll know he's at the beach cos he has a bus he puts all his toys in. If it's a pumpin NE he puts the lights on his bus and we have a night session.. if the tide is right then it rocks. mid tide at EB is best for nite kiting.

He occasionally kites and windsurfs at Kohi etc but is mostly based out far east at Eastern, Bramley, Pine Harbour and Flat Island.

Hey Blair it was great to see the wind turn more onshore yesterday. i checked the bean rock readings when i came home and the bearing got as low as 109 in the early arvo (with speed of 20 gusting 26)... mmmm that could have been fun on the 21 BFK :twisted:

There is more of the same today but even more east in that wind. I will be at EB in the arvo. i finish work at 11 (haha start at 3am :twisted: ).
