Hey all,

Im looking to replace my kites..now, im a student, and this generally leads me to buying second hand kites, or old stock from shops...........

Came across an unused 2005 gaastra vision 12m within my price range to go along with my 2005 17m slingshot fuel.

Whats your thoughts on Gasstra brand kites...personally i have never really heard of them....

And also the sizing of that kite, trying to maximise my kiting days, with a two kite set.....got a 17, and was thinking bout a 12....

any thoughts...

Dont go there.

Buy a decent well known brand that you can get replacement parts/ support for.

Even better- support the local kiteboarding industry and see what your local shop has to offer (new/secondhand/deals etc). At least if there is something wrong with the kite you can get it sorted.

Otherwise I have some great (almost new), top of the line, hardly used, hardly crashed, hardly repaired, C quads. Genuine 1999 shit (bet you wish your car was as new as that!).

Let me know....

As for size, definately go for a 12m.

They will fit in nicely with your 17m and later on when you graduate, you can buy an 8m and your quiver will be complete.

Also 12m are very common/popular size so there should be many around and they should be easy to resell when your done with it.

Better still, sell the 17m and buy a 12m bow of some sort.
It'd have the bottom end of the 17m and the top end of the 8m.

I'm eating my own words however as I own a 16m, 12m, 9m, 6m.

Hmmm
Time for a bow I say.

Cheese is good, cheese is nice, when I eat cheese I eat it twice. I like the taste, I like the smell, I like cheese I think it's swell.
