I do say that yesterday was the strongest 35 knots i've ever kited in (my words dripping with sarcasm) but didn't come home empty handed as the boyz from Macleans college did their verson of landkiting... beach jumping.

Blair i dunno when they headed out but the sandspit nearly allways destroys shakers in a true southerly.

How do i know that. i was at shakers with Shannon BEST in early March. All along the east coast there was epic wind that day. This included Shakespear bay. now i can call Madness to the stand if need be because on that day he was doing tow in surfing at miriwai.... no wind there at all being the reason. now since Tamaki is further south than shakers it gets the southerly first.. it was calm at 10am at shakers on march 3rd.. but insane at Tamaki estuary.

Then again you never know what the heck it's gonna do in Auckland.. that's why this city rulz!!
