Can someone tell me where a good flat water Auckland beach in westerlies can be found?

For super flat water you have:

Meola Reef
Flat Island

For flat water/small chop you have:

Pine Harbour
Ihumateo Rd

I've been to 3 of these spots (haven't kited Meola yet) and as long as the wind isn't too strong then it won't be too gusty at Pine Harbour or Flat Island. Ihumateo Rd gets clean wind so isn't gusty at all.

Tides:

Flat Island - low and mid tide.... high tide a no go.
Pine Harbour - Any tide but high tide is by far the best.
Ihumateo Rd - High tide ONLY.

Another option is Stonefields.. good flat water in W winds and not gusty but more suited to SW winds really. All tides but low tide.

Other options:

Kaipara Harbour
Whatipu
Surfdale
