Three days of warm wind and sun, 10 - 14m weather at first, but too strong today, like 40 knots. Even though there was a foot of fresh the night before and a few cms around the tents when we arrived it was still the best camp for a couple of years... sunbathing and a really mellow vibe with plenty of folks out riding all day till late. Went down to Mt Somers pub to watch the rugby, guys with gumboots and cowboy hats there ("Snakeskin" was filmed thereabouts). Great that the Aussies won anyhow, made 'em look like a provincial team didn't they?. Now everyone'll fcuk up about rugby already.

The mountain in the background is Mt Potts - the cat skiing/snowboard resort and is where a lot of the 'Lord of the Rings' was filmed.
