Hi

Wondering if i could draw on a bit of local knowledge for this one!!! I am relatively novice kiter and want to know where to go in a southerly. Obviously i dont want to end up blowing out into the ocean, so an onshore /cross would be good, or a reef or something that you can kiteupwind of.

Shakespear Bay at the end of whangaporoa peninsula. A bit of a drive if you don't live on the shore but well worth it. That place goes off. There are other spots too but Shakers is by far the main one.
eastern beach hates my guts because i did a big crap in my wetsuit whilst out there kiting 6 years ago. That's why i'm the most unpopular kiter in NZ. Beast from da east reprazent mutha f#$$%@ers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
