When I asked them if they could wait for the tide to go out so they could play away from the people the answer was- as expected- that they had as much right to be on the beach as everyone else. I asked them to imagine the result of a line catchig a child under the chin should the kite take off. Helping my son Richard with his kiting for the last four years I have seen a few injuries caused by lines. I did not like to walk up to them to tell them of the potential danger to others but after watching for a half hour no one else did. It was an unpleasant waste of time.

Stupidity like that deserves something a litte stronger than friendly advice, maybe like 'f off before you ruin kiting for the rest of us, or I'll cut your lines and rip your canopy'...
