I am been sent up to Palmy for three weeks and and would like to get some kiting in while i'm there. 8)
Any info on places to go, wind directions and generel kite sizes used would be appreciated, prefer (beginer/intermediatespots) :wink:

foxton river mouth!!!

other than that, there are heaps of spots south heading towards wellington. check out kitesurfers.co.nz
or head north to any of the taranaki spots

yep. foxton beach is pretty good. you can either go out in the surf by the surfclub or at low tide you can drive around the southern flank of the campground all the way up behind the dunes and sail on the river.
at a very low tide there is a sandbar from the seaward side of the dunes going out to sea that gives you a primo 800m speed run.
noth of foxton there is tangimoana with sailing on the river and seaside and of course plenty more spots down the kapiti coast.
