Keen on getting a mountainboard for those light wind days when there is nothing else to do. I can fly my bag in pretty much no wind however need some advice on boards. I've been looking at the Flexifoil Airdeck as it seems like a good trick board. I'll be attempting to do a few tricks but also cruising up and down the beach after i've hurt myself

That's a good board for tricks. I'd try before you buy on the flexi's tho. The 'kite designed offset board thing' (you like my technical chat?) is not everyone's cup of tea. My mate had the Flexdeck and loved it. I had a scrub board and liked that, although it was a bit big, chunky and heavy, but I really didn't like the flexdeck because of the offcentredness. It's meant to be better for riding upwind and leaning back against the kite, but I thought it made it steer unnaturally upwind and was a pain in the butt. Also a normal mountianboard will be put to good use when there is zero wind, coz all you need is a hill. You'll not enjoy riding the wonky airdeck downhill.

Theres some pics over @ www.nzkiteboarding.com - also your going to have to come up with a better name that KGB for it cos thats rather

Probably better off calling it just Kiteboarding and leaving the water version as Kitesurfing. Job done.

Got it from Kiteworks in the city as they were the only ones who had one (I'm an impatient buyer) however i believe Anabatic is getting a few too.

In Wakeboarding/Kiteboarding a KGB is a back roll with an inverted backside bar pass.

I find the way to think about it is a back roll to blind - but the bar pass is done while inverted (not after the landing).

Was invented by a wakeboarder called Gregg Neccrason, I have no idea where the name comes from.

Cheers,

DK
