st helliers monday arvo, did anyone else notice that women go 4a swim in the middle of 15 kiteboarders, 15-20 kts squaly nnw, ovacast at the best times, and this moron women goes 4a a splash bang smack in the middle of us, like she didnt have options, left -right , arround the corner to kohi beach, no kiteboarders there, my question is...

Yeah weird eh? she's only been going there for 30 years...... You'd think that in the last 4-5 years that kitesurfing has existed she'd have figured it out... then again, maybe she's been busy. 8)
Alternatively, you could drop the "world revolves around us" attitude and talk to her. You know- ' cooperation' -Help her see the risks, and let her know of other places to swim? I mean really, how long was she going to swim? Maybe try to see the world from someone elses view and try to use a little of that suger I know is just dying to get out of your sour persona. Perhaps then the beaches won' t get closed down to kiting, and kiters won't be thought of as arrogant self centered wankers. :roll:

PS. "Moron" is a very politically incorrect term, and as such, has been abandoned by most educated members of society. The kinder thing to say is "the mentally impaired individual". the ball is in our court. i strongly suggest finding an uncrowded place to kite or at least we behave and show courtesy. As for the lady swimming... she probably doesn't mind us or she wouldn't have gone in the water. i doubt she will be one of the people complaining this summer.

Contrary to popular opinion amoungst ourselves we are NOT public enemy mumber one.... the number of people fascinated by our jumps is still very high and they are allwasy keen on seeing this still new happening at our beaches... we are still the least regulated country in the world when it comes to kiting...lets not ruin our good reputation. It is entriely up to us. take care

hey i used to swim there heaps, when we were training for triathlons back in the day . they used to hold the ironman over there , it went from st heliers over to kohi and back to st heilers a distance of around 4ks,
maybe johnienz might like to try and swim that far and see how much easier it is to move a kite and board around a swimmer rather than her trying to avoid you. the use of the ocean is for everyone , don't bleat because someone else is enjoying it too.

well tks 4 the feedbac folk,, and after some time 2 think about it ive changed my view, now im sur she did it 2 piss us off, she swam out in2 the middle of us ala friggin dolphins,and wallowed around like a flounder,na sorrie not on,. 8)
