i dont have any kit at the moment,some prick nicked it so i could b beging and borowing at the beach this summer ,might b fun ive used most of the brands and the diff is interesting to discover,alot more focus on the bits part of it u know wat i mean, and tuning.

I'm no buying into this years kites, a lot of hype, and my 14 X2 and Wavetray are serving me well, and I SWEAR my X2 is taking me higher and with more hangtime than last year !!!!

I think maybe the 16+ sizes are getting better, but I'm living in Scotland, under 10 knots is a fart, and coming into winter, the breezes start at 15 knots, and work their way up!!

Yeah to be honest my X2 is serving me well. I have no problems with it whatsoever. I'm not plannin on "upgrading" any of my kites. The 20m AERO is still a handy lightwind machine and goes well with 20m lines when it picks up. The 12m X2 goes brilliantly and still boosts really well, so stable.

Hey Tim are you gonna get a smaller size for those Scottish winters?

Hey blownaway, nah I don't need a smaller kite, my mate Grant gave me a Flexifoil Nexus 5.6m, which is the equiv of a 10m, good when your are maxed on the 12, but heaps of depower, Grant has used his in over 35 knots.. although I've only used it 2-3 times, my 14 x2 gets the most use as we often have 15-25 knots...

I'm not kiting thru the winter here though, 1-2 degrees air temp means - windchill, and I intend to actually work soon.. plus daylight hours will be down to 6 over the winter months.

I've flurted with the idea of getting a 16m kite but i'll see what happens anyway. No definates that's for sure.
