Hey hows it goin? Im comming to NZ in july and was wondering what the winds are like around gizzy. ie young nicks and midway and any other close spots.

you need to get out on the mahia peninsula, about an hour south of gizzy,its worth the drive and works in all wind directions. waveriding and a flatwater spot that works in a n,ne,e theres cheap camping and you can drive along some of the beaches. the water is colder then but not too much to worry about. n,ne,e covered by local gizzy beaches(wainui etc)

Dude345 has it wired, Mahia is the go.
Two huge beaches, one facing North the other south.
Highly recommend the far north if you have the time!!! its a little warmer.
