As David Tua would say :"O for Awesome!!" The boyz & I had the evening to analyze my technique after watching the footage. We decided I needed some more.(technique that is)
That was a huge spanking on tape of The "Spence-mysta" goin big and comin down hard. "Hard-Case!!" If your out there Spence...... never seen so much water explode after impact. Very impressive.

Yes Muriwai turned it on yet again. Comon summer!!

saturday in dunedin:

after a 50k round trip the boys end up back in town, launching out of a carpark, 4 get out on big gear, wind comes up real fast, everyone quite powered, we come in pete heads out on a 10m garc, hmmm must've been windy we all think

sunday in dunedin:

phil comes up hill to pinch tools
looks out the window, says why aren't we at the beach??

15 knots, cross shore, suns shining, nice easy swell

craig and phil get out there on 18m arc and 16m rhino, both show good progress in dealing with the waves

pete turns up when craig and phil have finished, gets out there eventually on 15m arc, zooms around, lands nice back 720 on the inside

pete comes in, si turns up, thinks hmmm i'm a light bugger i'll go a tear around on my 12 x2, looping spinning, doing stuff we can't name

si comes in, all go home happy, 2 days in a weekend, a session both days for all

Aaaahhhhhh - I don't need to hear it chris - I've had one hour on the water in all that time!

Well I guess thats the price I pay for running my own business - been a busy month.

Looking good for tomorrow tho - and I will get out! Might even have to borrow that 14 bomba of yours - nice looking kite...

Hey Craig,
Is the "20k drive spot" down the road toward The Taiaeri mouth? South or SW there? I'm pretty keen to get down to Dunedin again for decent waves this summer.

Surely it won't snow at Clearwater camp for a fourth year.

nah 20 k's the other way down the peninsula
harwood, flat water/chop lots of room, down by the harbour outlet

a fair bit of amping about getting out in the surf more from the boys here, probably due to a general increase in skill level and confidence i guess

too windy for us again today(46knots yesterday!!), over 40 knots from the ne, spray in places, nobody had small enough gear with them, still we tried though

we're going to be looking harder at the taieri mouth beaches soon as the town beaches are a bit scoured and confused after the winter and we think the south and sw winds will be cleaner down there

i think anything from sw right through e to ne works there, wsw is slightly offshore but the northerly has to be pumping to get that far down (bugger, like today!! now i think of it  )

if it snows at clearwater again i think i'll resort to ultraviolence

i think that's enough southern drivel for tonite.........
