It is very exposed and has no showers, water, power. We will be taking a generator for running some spots and stereo.Anyone who wants to bring some turntables and 1000 watt speakers is more than welcome.Everyone is welcome. There will be no camp mother,no liquor ban or noise control. There is a possibility for a long distance race. The full length of the beach. 50 kms. Open to Buggys and surfers. First prize will be a bottle of tequila! More info is available at www.kiteworks.co.nz

8) O for Awesome!! I think the Tamariki Tribe might take up the offer. Just so happens we are free that weekend. Unless the winds are easterlyish.

Feel the rush!

Actually an easterley or north east will provide excellent smooth water conditions in the logoon/harbour mouth not to mention unprecedented cross offshore wave riding on the bar and if there no wind I can see how many trucks/boats I can flip in a weekend. care to lend me your keys KT?

cool. Anyone know for certain I'll not get stuck driving up the beach 50km in my subaru legacy? (4wd but road tires and fairly low to the deck). And Gav will not be allowed to drive my wagon if I get it there.

yeah no worry's Brad there about as much chance of you getting stuck as there was of getting that Sub back in the first place.
Even that rust bucket panel van of sss would make it with abit of a push over the soft sand at the entry/exit.
Just don't attempt to drive with the tide too high or around to the lagoon or up the sand hills
the main beach at low tide is hard as a road... around the bend at the harbour entrance though you can come across truck eating soft sand without warning that could swallow your puni wagon in a second. and don't, what ever you do, DONT let the chicks pump the stereo all day long and then be the last to attempt to leave!! 0800jumpme doesn't do call outs here

Then it settled. The weekend at Muriwai, if no wind, we take turns driving Gavs wagon until it rolls, drink much piss and then take much piss out of SSS's wagon that gets stuck in the soft stuff and then all home on Sunday in time for tea and crumpets. Hurrah!!

PS. I can give you a ride up there Brad. (for a nomnal fee of course, you bring the piss)

Cheers for the info gav and offer of a lift KT. I'll probably take my car. Might even be fun to take the pink-mobile up there - I've been too lazy to sell it yet. Anyone want to buy a $2500 1990 Sentra sw with a new head gasket etc?
