If anyone wants to follow us up we will be meeting at the estuary car park at 9am on Saturday morning.

Cheers,

Go to the mall alex... buy sushi... relax

No joy up at coleridge this weekend, a lot of rain forecast eh.

Postpone 'till next weekend?

Maybe we should go checkout the glassy flat SW end of lake Forsythe - if it's 15 knt SW?

Had a helluva good day at the beach yesterday, strapless on a 6'4 board only just powered on a 16 with clean little waves. Chris had fun on his 7'9.

Isnt Lake Forsythe just as polluted as the estuary (or even more)?
Could be worth a look though..

Sure kane! This was my idea also, but I was not sure what the general move was since there was no update from Decay, who usually is rather on time to provide infos and updates.

I arrived yesterday at the beach just after you gave up, I saw the Red 16 on the top of the dune, Chris was still on the water, and I could get some nice light wind riding on my magic flaqueboard, still with my 12 which turns to be my biggest kite for the season, ...assuming I can use different boards. Would have been the shittiest waist deep sinking shame session on the Mong with my 85+kg...

From the road out of the office, the estuary looked crowded as hell, so the beach was not a a bad choice, even if the wind was lighter.

Meet you at the mall

Lake Forsyth might not be the best idea. There's a side box in the paper this morning mentioning that it's algal bloom time of year and listing a whole host of nasty things that will happen to you if you ingest the water.
Yesterday's kite surfing was the most fun I've had in ages, although you have to remember that fcs fins don't like being run up the beach

No plan B crew - Su and I have another mission for next weekend, it had to be this weekend.

We were there, where were you??

Rain didn't really push thru to the lake, no wind yesterday but we had a great BBQ and few beers. Today was ~15k from the south and we all got a session.

Team Dunedin (Craig and Skip) looked at the forecast and since we had an offer of couch space at Colac Bay (thanks Team Wanaka) we went south instead.

Slowly picking up SE on Saturday afternoon ending up at around 16 knots onshore. Bit like South Brighton but with cleaner surf. Big long runs from the Trees up to the cemetery at the other end of town and back. Everyone with a 16 or bigger got some riding done. I played around for 4 hours in the rain and managed to not break a thing

Long dawdle back through the Catlins (petrol light on at Owaka, oops) and via all the Invercargill spots but shag all wind. Had a nose at Awarua Bay (funny coloured water) and Pounawea, Surat Bay (don't bother)

So sounds like we didn't miss a lot.......
harbour boosting, sideways buggying, harwood speed gps'ing, sometime kiteskiing, wave/washing machine kiting, gear breaking, driving about chasing the wind....
