if your in auckland or there abouts get your joints in shape before summer by opening them up with some 'extensions" (which is what yoga is about) and do some HOT YOGA. its 38 degrees! so nice and warm to help you stretch and get some healing oxegenated blood into all the joints and fascia we abuse so much kitesurfing.

through constant compression on the knees, ankles and holding on with the hips, not to mention landing's and upper body parts we are going to be hunchbacks in another 5 years of kitesurfing. think of the body position assumed when your on the water.

dont worry its not all hairy armpits and incence......its challenging and rewarding......check out <www.bikramyoganz.com> the studio is in Newmarket with 4 classes a day.....


i'm actually one of the teachers at the studio.....some of the old fullas around here (Mt Maunganui, hot yoga studio here as well) who are on the water whenever the wind blows are going to be a bundle of muscle and torn ligiments by the end of this year.....if you cant handle the stigma of "yoga" then at least get into some stretching before and after (while your deflating your kite) a session......you be the judge of the difference it makes....
