Yep, this is the end of the myth that there is no wind in Christchurch during the winter.
June was actually somehow better than January, with strong wind and good wave riding,

A bit colder, that's true, but the real winter warriors don't care!

Totally agree on that one Alex, June has been a great month for riding down here, good N winds and good waves.

I wonder what we will get in July?

Yeah I do like those Northerlies you get up there on your beaches, shame those Northerlies don't work down here in Dunedin so good.
The harbour goes very strange and gusty in N like today. :roll:

the beaches on the north side work OK but are a bit of a hike after work
and the south beaches don't seem to work at all.

oh well good for doing other stuff I guess
harbour boosting, sideways buggying, harwood speed gps'ing, sometime kiteskiing, wave/washing machine kiting, gear breaking, driving about chasing the wind....
