If anyones thinkning about trying these, then check this out.
This is how to do them (except you'll need to stick the landing!)

From a movie called Ten4

Must admit I've never seen anyone do this at my local haunts. Kitelooping is talked about heaps in kiteforum.com... I hear it's very dangerous.

kiteloops are kiteloops

Re: Kite loops 8 years, 9 months ago #308

hardly

Re: Kite loops 8 years, 9 months ago #309

I agree it's not the same loop, but if your gonna start trying somthing with such a high chance of getting slammed u probably want to start learning to loop in the same direction as your inital send back of the kite so that most of the momentum is not lost. Anyone out there been trying ?(maybe its just 4 the under 25's) (come on Squid-I recon u might just have the Nads 4 it!

It's just 4 the under 25s.... I'm 27 so I don't fit into that category anymore

Re: Kite loops 8 years, 9 months ago #311

27 huh... a poor lame excuse, just be straight up and admit that U don't have the BALLS to do anything other than talk about on the net. I watched Shane Morrell take beating after beating doin mid air back hand powered loops at shakers a while back and he aint no spring chicken. just one look at his arse on this site will tell you that hes got to be pushing 40. He even rode a couple out on full length lines and all. then theres broadbent who may not act it but hes something over 30 and still up for a good spanking. whos this Squid character anyway?

I'm not gonna admit that I don't have the balls.......

I'm gonna admit that I DEFINATELY don't have the balls!

Howz that... feel better? I do.

Re: Kite loops 8 years, 9 months ago #313

the craziest part about the whole thing is i don't remember seeing anyone pointing a video camera at me. fortunately i was on a solo stealth mission to maui and running wipi's as part of my deep cover.

it cracks me up that no-one here has cottoned on yet to the fact that i'm throwing 30 foot bar-pass kiteloops - i only do them after dark at my spot X...

lucky the footage is grainy and my true identity remains a closely guarded secret.

more booze anyone?

Yep its true I first saw Shaan pulling front roll front hand kite loops suprisingly similar to the on one the vid way back in our dark 7.5arx days on a rare misery bay mission about 2 years ago. A true visionary of the sport is Mr sss

Re: Kite loops 8 years, 9 months ago #315

them were the days: whipping a 5.5m ar5 right around mid-front loop and coming in as lit as a lightning bolt, perfectly set-up to deal with the square chop and ever decreasing patch of water dead ahead.

i soon grew out of that buzz.

our esteemed interlocutor Gavin Broadbent has also grown out of a few buzzes that have worked there way back into the mainstream - fag straps and the like as i recall - now sported by the likes of martin vari and other superstars.

what'll be next? basketball boots on boards? handbrakes @ 100 klicks on sandy beaches? mayhem? dykes on trikes?

stop distracting me - i'm busy.

by the way - if you want your skillsaw back, come round with beer.
