The story goes that in your twilight years you will only remember 50 days of your past.

So the goal is to have a session that is so god damn sweet that its going to make it into the top 50 days of your life.

Give me some 50 session write ups.

You ask this now? During the autumn doldrums? During the busiest time of the year? During the time of the year when all kids are most likely to attract some form of sniffles?

All I can try is make the next 50 days more memorable!

Well lets re-state it. what was your last 50 session. it may have been 2 years ago. your bound to remember or it wont be a 50 session

eg. I will never forget the first time I seriously got air time on the 05 10m frenzy in an over powered 20+ knots. must have been 15 foot plus. the float down was glorious and that sealed my fate as an addicted kiter.

The 24hr. kiting in 20-40+ knots for 24hrs will be seared into the back of my retiners for a long time.

Nuking the moose for the first time. nuking 90 mile.

my first ever moose meet.....

so forth and so on.

this year i've had a couple that could be 50 session. The naki nut buster with 50 knot gusts flying a less than 1sq mtr triangle and getting traction.

A cranked 25-35 knot storm session with Deano on the water. boosting over 6 foot+ white wash and watching the storm of tumultious water thunder underneith me as i effortlessly glided over top of it.....

Darn... that last few cyclones that came past. Diane was it? That was a raunchy ride in a variable 35knots. Lit on the 11m Edge and riding rollercoaster on the back of Orewa on my Cutlass. Really messy breaks from two directions generating some massive peaks. Getting the snot bashed out of me when I stacked the top of a tall breaking wave on a long toeside run. That was a good'un!

35 on the 11 edge? mad bugger. bet there was insane air time in those winds! 25 knots on my 2010 edge is like the hand of god tearing you from the earth.

I wasn't so worried about jumping. You really needed the power to overcome the undertow and get over the hills with the option to hover when it got messy underfoot. The was some great 'pings' though!

Five reasons why today’s session from Marsden Point to Waipu Cove is considered by me to be a top fifty day in my existence
1. Fully powered downwind session
2. Perfect cross on shore (off shore for the first ten kms)
3. Wonderful waves
4. Kiting at a location that was totally new to me
5. Kiting with a local expert with loads of local knowledge

Hmm, to kitesurf or to landboard? That is the question for a kite addicted junkie.
