Hey, I somehow managed to lose two fins off my board (Wipika Mystry) on Tuesday, which was a sweet day at Long Bay i might add, with only myself and one other guy out on his 8m. Just a question does anyone know of any where i can get replacements, preferably cheaper than the stores??

hey thanks alot, just a quick question it says the location pins are not removable, do you know the dimensions and distance apart of the pins, or are the pre-drilled holes on the boards universal? Thanks.

Did you break your fins, or did the bolt come loose and they fell off?

What sized fins are your currently running?

I find single bolt/two pin wake fins need to be checked ever couple of sessions - the bolts do work loose.

I put solid G10 epoxy/glass fins on all my boards mounted with 2 bolts instead of 1. G10 fins are much stronger than moulded plastic fins and at least with 2 bolts if one comes loose you don't lose the fin!

Must work because I can't recall selling a single replacement fin in three years!

Most all kiteboard fins are based on the US wakeboard pattern:-

1 bolt/two pins

pin - 3/4inch - bolt - 3/4inch - pin

2 bolts

bolt - 1 1/2 inch - bolt

My fins have all three holes and I have pins available to convert then to single bolt if needed.

I've seen the odd single bolt mounting drilled out to take 2 bolt as well - its a nice upgrade if your board has full sized fin reinforcement.

A full set of four hand foiled, G10 fins, (just like a the $60 a piece US made wakeboard fins) direct from me or thru any of my retailers are only $100 a set, including freight and hardware.

Yeah the bolts simply worked their way loose, the fins are a single bolt, two pin set up. They are 2" fins. To order is it done through your website? I take it the conversion (to single bolt) will be done before i get the fins? Is it much of a drama to get another hole drilled in the board to make it a two bolt set up? Who can do this for me?

The conversion isn't much of a drama, but the board needs to be checked before it is done.

I have a guy in AKL that can do the work for you, plus fit the fins, check bolt lengths etc. You can also pay him direct (same price $100 all up including the new holes).
