Hey guys and girls
Im heading up to Pataua for a week just after new years and am wondering if anybody could suggest any good kite spots around that area??

Seen the lagoon there - immense, but it was a howling Westerley. Wait for the summer Easterlies to kick in and the Mangawhai Heads lagoon will knock you out!

Been there over new years and that lagoon was very crowded with swimmers, boaties and other RWC. Beach was empty by comparison but it is quite a steep beach meaning short hard shore break and hard going in a dead onshore.
