Product Review for SOS H2O-X Slider Sunglasses

A great pair of Sun Glasses for Kite Surfers. These are an extremely tough pair of sunnies and you can see why they supply the US forces. I got to try these out the other day at Eastern Beach on a very bright and sunny day and here's what I found.

Extremely tough and strong, yet comfortable with a soft nose grip which does not cut off your oxygen supply.

One of the best features on these sun glasses is the security strap. Solid, purpose built and easy to adjust with one hand. You can crank the strap before hitting the waves, then loosen as you pack up. Can fit a big headed person like myself with plenty of room.

Also very good Anti-fogging capability. This was a very hot day and the reduced glare on my eyes and clear vision made my kiting session a breeze.

Here's a couple of photo's of me wearing the H2O-X Slider so that you can get an idea of just how cool these glasses are.

Ok so I have tried most of the water glasses out there on the market so far and none of them have really measured up. I am looking for something that can cope for the long distance missions. Its not just sun that I am worried about over long distances. Salt spay is a killer with glasses and I have been looking for something that is more goggle like AND does not fog up.
I have tried the following and they all suck for one reason or another. At the moment I can't see why to spend more than $30 on a pair form the local servo and put Rainex on it, given that I seem to loose or break sunglasses on a regular basis

Anyone got any suggestions for the ultimate kite glasses/goggles?

-keeps salt spry out
-good optics
-copes in bright sunlight and low light situations
- has a retaining band
-doesn't fog up
-robust and doesn't break after a hard landing
-doesn't look too retarded

Dirty Dog- stylish moderate price good retaining band, good optics, lets in salt spray
Sea Specs- stylish cheap price good retaining band, lets in salt spray
$30 pair from BP- cheap, disposable, no retaining band, lets in salt spray
JetTribe goggles- fogs up...badly and doesn't drain water well!
Ignition Goggles- keeps salt spray out, good back band, cheap, has a double lens, poor optics, got water between lenses and fogged up

out of left feild what about swimming goggles?
doesn't fit it the looks cool bracket but might not fog and will hold out the water. probably a pain in the arse to use for 12 hours or so.

ps i like the look of those slider sunnies. might have to try a pair.

Yep have considered a goggle type option, but what though? The slider sunglasses look ok but sea specs seem a cheaper option for a similar product. Happy to be proved wrong if someone wants to send me a pair to try.
We have another thread going own down in Wellington about this.

check out kurtis surf googles

- polarised, flexible, float, don't fog

www.kurtisusa.com

i think ballistics have some. a little more pricey than some of the others out there. i have some, wore them in new caledonia, a life saver and sweet as for freestyle since they're felxible and dont fog.
