tried a trick and caught leash on my arm (material webbing part with elastic inside)
it brushed past me while real tight and caught and scraped past my arm and same time. i am used to collecting a few bruises from this but this time it ripped out a chunk and blood started squirting out everywhere. all sewn up now.

i just saw there is a fair bit of sand caught in the webbing of my leash so this probably did not help, gonna get a neoprene cover or foam cover i think..

Ian were you at Muriwai beach last wednesday taking photo's? if so it was me that you gave a lift back to the car park.

If not it was some other guy with a torn up arm in the same manner.

Sounds crazy the way it happened..but i guess with enough tension and speed something like that could easily happen.
