i've had 3 sessions on the water.
one to get a handle on body dragging and 2 with the board.

first session on the board was pretty hell out with 25 knots winds (i'm on an 11m ozone edge) so pretty powered and waves 3 to 6 foot. i'd just get up and plaining and then get slammed by a wave.

sesion 2 on the board was better with 20ish knots of wind and less waves but lots of chop. i was having trouble holding and edge without skipping down wind for a while. then i discovered i was weighting the board too evenly like when i landboard. Once i unweighted the front i could hold and edge and off i went.

Buy the end of the sesion i could hold a line upwind (well cross wind anyway). i bust out some turns and shot back the other way without sinking. I even threw down and landed a small jump. Oh yes and at one stage a wave was bearing down on me on the tack back to shore so i just powered up and out ran the wave. Whoot.

So i'm super stoked.

oh yes i had plenty of pratice crashing the kite, water re-launching, body dragging back up wind to get the board.

so after 3 sessions you are kite surfing the west coast ?!!? Hats off Bro , hats off
