The winds blowin again.... Had my first session in a while as my cough is nearly all gone. Only an infected toe to deal with now. Good Pine Harbour Session... a bit gusty but nothing the 8m AERO II couldn't handle. Hey Scott did you get out to Conifer Grove today (Sat)? If so then how was it?

No, I spent the weekend in New Plymouth seeing my folks. New Plymouth, now there is a spot for Kite Surfing if ever there was one! I took my gear down on the off chance that there would be some good wind but really this weekend it was all offshore. Super good swell and if I hadn't been so busy I would have joined the 100's of surfers out there!!8)
Roll on summer. If you've got some summer holidays with nowhere to go then go to New Plymouth - you'll go out of your mind!! Driving back along the coast last night was absolutely beautiful. I'm a local so if you have any questions then just ask...
As for Akl am looking for some wind - anybody seen, smelt, heard any??
Naki boy gone north...

Are you from New Plymouth? Yeah I hear the wave sailing there up there with the best in the world, but what's it like for kitesurfing? Are thyere any decent flat water spots?

Hey Scott do you surf? If so then I'm keen on some missions out west this summer with some kiting crew. We can surf in the morning and then kite when the seabreeze gets going.. I'd only be able to do this on my 2 days a week off work though. Still keen on checking out those flat water spots in the Manukau Harbour too.

There was wind on Saturday... but on Sunday there was a light breeze which may or may not have been kiteable. That spot in the Manukau may have been ok....

i take it kane9 has something to say regarding all things taranaki. will he regale our group with tales of his adventures there, or keep a lid on them and let sleeping dogs lie - and for the love of mike - NOT tell ANYONE about TARANAKI!

at least not till i've got back there and tested a few theories i've been working on, and i've bought the entire piece of real estate known as cape egmont and set up a carnival atmosphere all along the surf highway - with the main attraction watching the jetloads of euros, jappas and other beatniks getting slaughtered by public lynching while kiteboarding at pungarehu, also known as Jaws' ugly twin sister - the mother of all y'hurt'n.

shucks.

gottago anyway - got stuff going on....
