For those not aware that Kitesurfers recently lost the outright world speed record to the french tri Hydroptere... Luderitz looks set to go off this weekend with forecast winds of over 50 knots for 3 days!

Hydroptere holds the current record at 51.36 knots over 500m .... but in practise Sebastien Cattelan sailing in 50 to 55 knots of wind with a 9m kite ran a 57 knot 250 metre and a 53 knot 500 m www.gps-kitesurfing.com/?mnu=user&val=37801&uid=47
With Seb Cattelan, Rob Douglas and Alex Caizergues who all sailed over 50 knot 500s last year sharpening their fins right now we should see records tumble this week!!
