www.windfinder.com/forecast/muriwai

weather is looking ideal if not perfect for the moose. some torrential rain on thur to harden the dunes and then some showers to keep them hard. 13-17knot on/cross on.

ahhhh.

I won't be attending but have uploaded the PredictWind forecasts to the following locations. I have given up trying to predict more than 3 days out. The forecasts are given for cmc and GFS forecasts so you can see if the are close and there fore reliable. The GFS model is what the majority of the free sites use as their weather model. Predict Wind have just updated their interfaces and made them heaps more usable
Don't know if that changes anything for you guys?

The Moose rocked,
Brutal couldn't find a granny dressed plummet so decided to land on Jimmy22 at about 35kmh instead......sorry didn't mean to Jimmy
Poor ole Northernal destroyed his small engine by tangling it in a moving buggy
Gannet set a new record for most kms traveled by buggy in one stretch, was over six hundred I believe. now thats dedication as it persisted down at about 4am
Northernal also destroyed a pair of stainless forks while(they were only six months old) tryin to keep up with brutal hehe
everyone seemed to have a great time so a big thank you goes out to all who attened and made it a most cool 15th Dark Moose (no full moon....no moon at all actualy)

first id like to say a huge welldone and congratulatons to gannet....you make us proud mate...24 hours buggying throught the night all alone in the moose...tough old b@~#:rd

but im sad to say i have sufferd a great loss...my tuned n-gen 2.2 is gone, ripped and mauled open by a buggy..i even saw perrin swallow when he saw it!!not a good sign.
it is possibly the worst death a kite could ever have, it was litterly ripped open by streching allong many of the seams and the bridal is mostly ripped off.things will never be the same again

AND i broke my new forks....it was worth it tho, havnt had so much fun breaking stuff in ages, it was like packs of wild dogs absolutley hauling ass through the dunes with everyone trying to overtake everyone, awsome, very exiting buggying, altho gemmiB mounted jimmy22, their is a time an a place!! i cant think of many more perturbing things than expiriencing gemmiB and the brutal coming up from behind
poor jimmy...

great time, awsome short course racing and awsome buggying...loved it.

BTW did everyone just decide to pick on Jimmy22 this weekend or what?

But I have to ask whether putting the flags so close for a shortcourse race with that many pilots is for increased technical difficulty or purely sadistic entertainment value.

Now that Gemmi is nearly bulletproof N-Al starts breaking stuff again. You know what to do N-Ally... you have the means and we have some elastomers for ya!

PS Yes. I am still crying myself to sleep at night. Even Jimmy22 almost had a little tear in his eye when he saw me all packed and ready to go nowhere!

its was mostly my fault realy, i was going too slow so rexton tried to pass me by flying over my head in the dunes and got about half way, the helmet and body armour built into my jacket took all the hit and to be honest it didnt hurt much. AND i was going too hard in the racing with out a lot of thought about my kite lines and running on 25m lines in a 50m course is tricky...

yes there was a tear for all those lost souls missing from the event plummet, guster, kent

however it must have been the most bigfoot buggies ever at a moose despite that

It was too. Thought we had problems at work sorted out. Problems thought otherwise...

I think I know where Kent was though.

True... but I wouldn't want to go to work on Monday or the whole week for that matter. Just one of those things. Maybe Monday will be just as epic.

one thing i've leared over the years in that you are not irrreplacable. The world will will still continue on if you don't work for a weekend. If your self employed then you need to organise a contractor to fill in in your abscence. what would have happened if the call had came once you were out of cell coverage?

If i was in your possition (self employed building a budding business)i would have informed my key customers weeks/months in advance that the moose weekend was unavailable and here is the alternative plans for that weekend if need be.

The moose being the premier event of the year. if i was you it would have been not negotiable.

I suppose i can say that because i am not self employed..... and still find myself doing some work from home when i'm i've just busted my arm and an hoped up on pain killers and should be resting....
