considering we should get south easterlies wind this weekend. Anyone has already kited at Whangamata? Was it good? Or any beach to recommend in Coromandel?

i havent kited at whangamata, but i have kited at pauanui. it was mint,you can park by the boat ramp, i launched by the entrance to the harbour and kited on the bar, it was really flat between the waves and since it is a bar the waves werent really breaking so they where primo to launch of!!!
the only thing is the currents a really strong so if you get it wrong you can say bye to your board!
the other place i have heard is really good is whitianga, i havent tried but it sounds pretty good.
im sure whangamata would be similar.

yeah bro its sick! had an epic session there when i was there over new years. just dont get behind or any where near those massive islands in the middle of the beach and you will be sweeeeet
