I'm from Chch originally but have been living in Japan for 9 years or so now ... finally started doing some serious land and water kiteboaridng

Since your still in Japan?? can u give us the goods on japans wind conditions
Which city do u kite in or do u go to different locations depending on wind direction/strength?

Better than living in NZ

Depends where you live - Okinawa is apparently Mecca! All year round. I live next to the big lake in the middle of the biggest island and we get a few good days every few weeks for the surfing, but there's usually wind for landboarding - if you can find enough flat ground.
I go down to Shizuoka occasionally too, halfway between Nagoya and Tokyo - lots of good spots there. There's a few on the Japan Sea side that I want to check out, within a 3 or 4 hour drive but haven't gotten around to it yet ...

I'm still learning to surf though so I don't know what I'm talking about
