Hi,
I will be in New Zealand to kite from the 8th of May to the 14 of May. Looking for the best place to get wind this time of year. Don't care if it's flat water or surf. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I only have 1 day to decide and then Book flights.

no such thing as the best place until the actual day.

if you end up in auckland there are about 27 spots to kite, and if you have a car then you can ride any winddirection same goes for Ruakaka (2hrs drive north).

thing is you can get skunked anywhere you go!

Like Dan.j says, as long as there is wind you can find a good spot in Auckland somewhere. Muriwai (W.coast) looks on for the majority of next week.
